These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of internethappens.com (the “Site”), operated by me as Internet Happens (“I,” “me,” “my”), an independent freelance digital marketing and web design business based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site.

These Terms govern use of the website itself. If I have entered into a separate written agreement, proposal, or contract with you for services (such as web design, SEO, or marketing work), the terms of that separate agreement will govern our service relationship and will control over these Terms in the event of a conflict.

1. Who I Am

Internet Happens is a freelance operation, not an agency. I bring more than 25 years of Oklahoma marketing experience to web design, development, SEO, and internet marketing services, and I work directly with clients myself.

2. Use of This Site

You may use this Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s functionality, including through automated scraping, bots, or excessive requests
  • Transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious content through the Site
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, when submitting forms or comments

3. Forms, Comments, and Submitted Content

When you submit information through a contact form, quote request, or comment on this Site, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to submit it. Any information you submit is handled according to my Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

If comments are enabled on any page, I reserve the right to remove, edit, or decline to publish any comment at my sole discretion, including comments that are abusive, spam, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate.

4. Communications

If this Site includes a live chat feature, chatbot, or call-tracking phone number at any point, use of that feature means you are communicating with me and, in some cases, with third-party tools that help operate that feature. Where required by law, you will be given notice before any such communication is recorded, logged, or shared with a third-party vendor. Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information) through any form, chat, or comment feature on this Site.

You may view and share pages from this Site for personal, non-commercial reference, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or use the design, code, or content of this Site for commercial purposes without my prior written permission.

This Site may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by me. I am not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site, and including a link does not imply my endorsement of that site.

7. No Professional Guarantee; Disclaimer of Warranties

Content on this Site, including service descriptions, blog posts, and marketing materials, is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute a guarantee of specific results (such as search rankings, traffic, or lead volume). Results from any actual marketing or web design engagement depend on many factors outside my control and would, where applicable, be addressed in a separate service agreement.

This Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. I do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, this Site, even if I have been advised of the possibility of such damages. My total liability for any claim arising from your use of this Site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

I may revise these Terms at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page, and the effective date at the top will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
